The Presidents of Georgia and Azerbaijan mutually supported the territorial integrity of the countries

A meeting between Mikheil Kavelashvili and Ilham Aliyev, the Presidents of Georgia and Azerbaijan, was held in Baku. They emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Kavelashvili confirmed Georgia's readiness to continue contributing to the process of promoting dialogue in the South Caucasus.

"Georgia and Azerbaijan strongly support each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Tbilisi hopes for the early signing of a peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan," he said.

According to Aliyev, it is impossible to imagine Europe's energy security without Azerbaijan and Georgia. He emphasized that the joint projects implemented by the two countries are of great importance for a wide geography.

On April 28-29, Mikheil Kavelashvili will leave for an official visit to Armenia. Meetings with the President, Prime Minister and Speaker of the Parliament are planned.
