Regions of the North Caucasian Federal District are leaders in the absence of bad habits

In the ranking of regions according to the minimum scale of bad habits, Chechnya, Dagestan and Ingushetia took the first places. Kabardino-Balkaria is in 5th place, North Ossetia is in 16th, Karachay-Cherkessia is in 18th, RIA Novosti reports.

In these regions, low tobacco consumption and low mortality from causes caused by alcohol consumption were recorded.

The outsiders included Khakassia, Kamchatka Territory, Sakhalin Region, Trans-Baikal Territory, Magadan and Amur Regions, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Udmurtia and Karelia. Residents there are in no hurry to give up smoking and drinking alcohol.

When calculating the rating, we took into account the consumption of tobacco products, the level of alcohol sales, the number of crimes committed while under the influence of alcohol and drugs, and mortality due to alcohol consumption.
