Relatives of an opposition native of Armenia banned from entering Russia

Earlier forced to leave Russia opposition activist and opponent of the war with Ukraine Arshak Makichyan said that the Russian authorities banned the entry of his brother and father. Both - for 50 years, which is in fact a life sentence. In this case, they did not engage in any opposition activities.

The activist’s family left Armenia in the 1990s. Arshak obtained Russian citizenship in 2004 and studied at the Moscow Conservatory. He participated in the environmental movement Fridays for Future, entering single pickets. In 2022, Makichyan also participated in anti-war actions.
