Rosstat denies the data on Chechnya in the rating of quality of life.

The Chechen authorities reported that according to the research of the State Agency of Strategic Initiatives, the republic took the eighth place in terms of quality of life. The rating is based on population surveys. Rosstat data look different.
State Agency RIA Novosti, which accumulates the official figures of Rosstat, published a rating in December 2022, sending Chechnya to the 11th place from the bottom on the socio-economic condition. In December 2022, Chechnya was ranked 11th. She became one of the leaders in the unemployment rate, low wages, inaccessibility to buy a new car.
According to the statistics of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, Chechnya was one of the leaders in the number of terrorist crimes and related to illegal arms trafficking.
