Authorities in Russia’s North Ossetia republic have said they are taking measures to protect Karina Kodzayeva, who became the target of an online harassment campaign after posts published by platforms affiliated with the Caucasian Community movement. In a response to journalist Ksenia Sobchak’s appeal, the office of the regional human rights commissioner said the case is under the personal supervision of regional head Sergei Menyaylo and that law enforcement agencies may seek to block channels used to distribute unlawful content and identify those responsible for administering them.
Armenian Government Honours Armenian Genocide Victims
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan arrived at the memorial complex "Tsitsernakaberd" accompanied by President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Speaker of Parliament Alain Simonyan, ministers and other officials. They laid wreaths at the memorial and flowers at the Eternal Fire.
Today Armenia celebrates the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 and subsequent years in the Ottoman Empire. Nearly 30 countries have recognized this fact at the national level. International bodies have also adopted a number of resolutions and declarations and, within the framework of the United Nations Human Rights Council, Armenia’s document "Prevention of genocide".
