According to Novaya Gazeta Evropa, the Chechen leader's eldest son, Akhmat Kadyrov, is considered the leading candidate to become the republic's next leader, displacing his younger brother, Adam. The alleged reason for this change was an accident involving 18-year-old Adam Kadyrov, which forced his father to seek medical attention in Moscow.
Georgia's third president, Mikheil Saakashvili, suddenly fell ill while serving time in prison, according to journalist and founder of the Nanuka Foundation, Nanuka Zhorzholiani.
According to Zhorzholiani, the politician lost consciousness in his cell and required resuscitation. The journalist notes that Saakashvili suffered head and limb injuries during the fall, however,
the Georgian Ministry of Justice's penitentiary service, while confirming the incident, denies any injuries. The agency has not disclosed the cause of the seizure. According to Novosti Georgia, Saakashvili's condition has currently stabilized.
On November 12, Saakashvili was returned to prison from a private clinic. On November 14, he appealed to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to include him on the list of civilian prisoners of war in the Ukraine-Russia conflict. A Ukrainian citizen, he claims his persecution is war-related and that Putin demanded his poisoning and imprisonment.
