Chechnya and Ingushetia sell the least amount of alcohol per capita. The figures are less than 0.1 liters and 0.6 liters of alcohol stronger than 25 degrees per person, respectively. These are the findings of a study by the audit and consulting network FinExpertiza.
In Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia, 1.3 liters are sold per inhabitant, in Dagestan - 1.4 liters, in Karachay-Cherkessia - 2.1 liters.
The average sales volume of alcoholic beverages in the Russian Federation is 7.2 liters per capita.
Retail sales of strong alcohol in Russia increased by 3.6% and reached their highest level since 2017. The largest quantities are sold in Karelia (16.1 liters per person), Sakhalin region (15.1 liters), and the Komi Republic (14.7 liters).
