The lowest salaries of school teachers are recorded in the North Caucasus

In Ingushetia, school teachers earned an average of 26.4 thousand rubles in the first quarter of 2024. This is the lowest figure among all regions of the Russian Federation, Rosstat reports.

Next in ascending order of average teacher salaries are Karachay-Cherkessia (29.9 thousand), Chechnya (31.1 thousand), North Ossetia (31.9 thousand) and Dagestan (32.5 thousand). School teachers' salaries are slightly higher in Kabardino-Balkaria and Stavropol Krai - 35.8 thousand and 38.5 thousand, respectively. Chukotka (147.1 thousand), Magadan Oblast (133.9 thousand) and Yamal (133 thousand) are in the lead.

In the country as a whole, the average salary of a school teacher in January-March 2024 was 58.1 thousand rubles.
