Among the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District, Dagestan suffered the greatest human losses in the war with Ukraine.

The largest number of residents of the North Caucasian Federal District who died in the war with Ukraine was in Dagestan - 638. This follows from reports from representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies.

The deaths of 213 military personnel from North Ossetia, 173 from the Stavropol Territory, 133 from Chechnya, and 108 from Kabardino-Balkaria were also confirmed. The least number of deaths were residents of Ingushetia (43) and Karachay-Cherkessia (23).

According to official data, 1,331 residents of the North Caucasian Federal District died on the territory of Ukraine.

Sixty-six deputies took part in the vote: 61 backed the incumbent, while five voted for Oleg Varnavin, deputy general director of Selengaуголь LLC. No one voted for the third candidate, Chermen Dudati, a regional parliament deputy and director of the V. V. Tkhapsaev North Ossetian Academic Theatre.
