The US Department of Defense and their counterparts from Armenia began joint exercises Eagle Partner 2024 in Yerevan. American instructors will train Armenian peacekeepers for 10 days.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry commented on joint military exercises between the United States and Armenia.
“These exercises cause nothing but regret. They will take place against the backdrop of Yerevan freezing its participation in the CSTO and public attacks against the organization. Whatever peaceful goals the Westerners declare, the main task is to create a springboard for geopolitical projects,” said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova.
Let us recall that earlier the United States canceled military exercises jointly with Georgia due to the adoption of a law on foreign agents in the country. Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili filed a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court demanding that the law be repealed.
