Authorities in Russia’s North Ossetia republic have said they are taking measures to protect Karina Kodzayeva, who became the target of an online harassment campaign after posts published by platforms affiliated with the Caucasian Community movement. In a response to journalist Ksenia Sobchak’s appeal, the office of the regional human rights commissioner said the case is under the personal supervision of regional head Sergei Menyaylo and that law enforcement agencies may seek to block channels used to distribute unlawful content and identify those responsible for administering them.
Ingushetia, HRC and CBD were among the regions that are at risk of not fulfilling the indicators of the federal project «Integrated system of solid waste management» by 2024. This was reported by the head of the Russian Environmental Operator (REO) Denis Butsayev.
In 10 subjects, there is no work on road maps, that is, on the creation of facilities - TBT polygons. These are the Amur Region, the Republic of Tyva, the Perm Region, Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, the Orel Region, the Primorye Region, the Tver Region, the Republic of Ingushetia and Khakassia.
Butsayev noted that in 2020 the federal project to implement garbage reform was revised, and, in his view, now the achievement of the indicators is more than realistic. In the area of waste management, separate collection, strict sanctions for improper disposal, prohibition of the disposal of recyclable waste are envisaged.
