The investigative actions were carried out as part of a criminal case on the multi-billion-dollar theft of funds intended for the work of the department.
Several months ago, employees of the financial department of the Ingush Ministry of Internal Affairs were detained. The amount of damage is estimated at more than 1 billion rubles. The suspects could have awarded bonuses to police officers without their knowledge, and then cashed them. At least four people have been detained.
A second group of employees of the Internal Security Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation is expected to arrive in Ingushetia soon. They will also conduct an investigation.
