Southern Russia was once again targeted by UAVs, while drones were launched from the Rostov region toward Ukraine

On the night of September 16, 71 drones were destroyed over Russian territory, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported. The regions targeted included the Kuban, as well as the Rostov and Astrakhan regions.

Rostov Region Governor Yury Slyusar stated that the Kamensky and Millerovsky districts were hit, adding that there were no reports of casualties or damage on the ground.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian side claimed that Russia had once again used the Millerovo airfield for an attack that same night. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 80 drones were launched at the country. Reports indicate the impact of strikes in Kyiv and the Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions. In total, eight people were killed and 21 others were injured overnight.
