A criminal case on a mass brawl in Kuban was opened only against a native of Chechnya

The Seversky District Court of Krasnodar Krai granted the investigators' motion to arrest for two months the only suspect in the criminal case on a mass brawl in Kuban. This was reported by the joint press service of the courts of Krasnodar Krai. Let us recall that the incident occurred on the night of September 8 in the village of Afipsky in Krasnodar Krai. A criminal case was opened under the article on hooliganism. The name of the defendant is not indicated.

According to the joint press service of the courts of Kuban, the defendant and other persons, being near the Afipsky House of Culture, as a result of the conflict that arose, used physical violence against their opponents, hitting them with their hands and feet. The reasons for the conflict are being established. According to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, the disagreement arose on domestic grounds, presumably because of a girl. Local residents claim that the "behavior of newcomers" is to blame, who "harass everyone and cause trouble." According to media reports, those interviewed could have been referring to natives of Chechnya working at the Afipsky Oil Refinery.

54 people were taken to the police for investigation. The court sentenced 12 participants in the fight to administrative arrest for a period of two to seven days. It is reported that one of the defendants in the administrative case is a local resident, the rest are newcomers from other regions.

Since the beginning of September, this is the second mass brawl in Krasnodar Krai that has received wide resonance. On the night of September 3, two animators were beaten near a club in Anapa. Two attackers, natives of Chechnya, were detained in Kabardino-Balkaria and sent to a pretrial detention center on charges of hooliganism. The conflict occurred because one of the defendants wanted to meet a girl and was refused, the Investigative Committee for Krasnodar Krai reported

A week later, the commander of the Akhmat special forces, Apti Alaudinov, presented a more detailed version of the conflict’s development in his Telegram channel. According to him, the aforementioned girl’s girlfriend insulted the attackers “on the basis of their nationality” and mocked the special forces servicemen, and the fight itself allegedly began after she shouted “Glory to Ukraine.” The criminal case against the Chechens, Alaudinov said, was initiated “at the request of those above” and “contrary to common sense.”

In addition, Apti Alaudinov recorded a video in which he asks the question: “What can we do in this country? Maybe we are not citizens of the Russian Federation either? We just don’t know that we are second-class!”
