US President Donald Trump addressed a message to the participants of Baku Energy Week. In his message, the American leader emphasized the significant support the United States provides to the Azerbaijani oil and gas sector and expressed confidence in further strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the context of global energy security.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its significant contribution to the country's energy resilience. He stated that Baku made a significant contribution to "our resilience during the most difficult period of the past winter."
Shmyhal noted that Azerbaijani allies supplied generators, transformers, cables, and other critical equipment. This assistance enabled Ukraine to successfully survive the winter and is helping prepare for the next cold season.
"Since the start of the full-scale war, Azerbaijan has provided Ukraine with 11 energy assistance packages, for which we are immensely grateful. We express our gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, highly appreciating their solidarity and sincere support," Shmyhal noted.
It was previously reported that Azerbaijan is actively participating in the reconstruction of the damaged Ukrainian city of Irpin. Following the start of the "special military operation," up to 80% of the city's social infrastructure was destroyed. Thanks to the assistance of the Azerbaijani side, the lyceum and central hospital have been restored. The parties are now focused on implementing four more important projects: creating a modern community center on the site of the old one, restoring the children's and youth sports school, opening an art center, and constructing a new residential building.
