The Rostov and Krasnodar regions were among the Russian territories targeted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the night of October 25. On Sunday morning, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 532 Ukrainian UAVs had been shot down over the preceding 12 hours.
The governor of the Rostov region stated on his Telegram channel that more than 50 UAVs were destroyed across five districts: Verkhnedonskoy, Millerovsky, Kasharsky, Chertkovsky, and Sholokhovsky.
"There have been no reports of casualties or damage on the ground. Further details are being clarified," he added.
In the Kuban region, a "drone threat" alert was gradually implemented across nearly all municipalities—including Sochi, Anapa, Novorossiysk, Gelendzhik, and Krasnodar—starting on the evening of October 24.
Amid the evening alerts, airport operations in the region faced restrictions. Specifically, measures were imposed at Krasnodar (Pashkovsky) Airport at 23:45 and at Gelendzhik Airport at 23:57. Both facilities lifted these restrictions simultaneously at 05:24 on October 25. Additionally, at 23:55, the Krasnodar administration announced that an air-raid siren had been activated in the city as defenses engaged the incoming UAVs.
In its morning briefing, the Air Force of Ukraine stated that, overnight, Russian forces had launched 153 attack UAVs against Ukrainian territory—including Shahed-type drones (92 of which were jet-powered), S8000 "Banderol/Dan-T" and "Gerbera" models, as well as "Parodiya" (Parody) decoy drones. Some of the aerial weapons were reportedly launched from the Millerovo training ground in the Rostov region and from Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the attack left 4 people dead and 14 injured. In the Vinnytsia region, there are also casualties following a strike on a high-rise residential building.
Russia also reported two deaths resulting from a strike on Belgorod.
