Russian propagandist Vladimir Solovyov has been noticeably less active on air recently. His evening show on the Rossiya-1 channel is temporarily absent, and his morning broadcasts on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio are now hosted by others. The reasons for this disappearance are being actively discussed online.
The FSB announced that it had foiled a terrorist attack at a school in Adygea and detained the suspect. The agency claims he is a supporter of an international terrorist organization banned in Russia.
According to the FSB, a citizen of a Central Asian country parked a car near the school. Ten Molotov cocktails, two knives, and a terrorist organization's flag were allegedly found in the car.
The suspect himself stated that he was instructed to set fire to the school's Christmas tree.
"I arrived in Maykop. They contacted me on Telegram and asked me to set fire to the school's Christmas tree. They told me to make Molotov cocktails to set the tree on fire and then leave the city," the suspect testified.
A criminal case has been opened under the article on attempted terrorist act by an organized group (Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
