Protests near the government and the Russian embassy have stopped in Armenia

At night, Armenian security forces unblocked the building of the Russian Embassy in Yerevan. Police detained protesters who accused Moscow of supporting Azerbaijan and complicity in war crimes in Karabakh.

“Farewell, unwashed Russia, country of slaves, country of masters! The delusional ideas of restoring the Soviet Union in the inflamed brain of the fascist, dwarf, criminal Putin forced him to commit war crimes in Ukraine. Today Putin is committing war crimes in Karabakh. Vladimir Putin is a vile coward. Putin is killing Armenians at the hands of Azerbaijanis. For 30 years, Putin has placed his puppets in power in Armenia to carry out his arrogant imperial policies. Damn you, scum,” said one of the rally participants.

The situation in Yerevan has been calm since the morning, the government building is cordoned off. According to the Armenian Ministry of Health, 34 people were injured during clashes with police, including 16 police officers.

The number of civilians in Nagorno-Karabakh killed as a result of shelling from the Azerbaijani side has increased to seven people, and the number of injured has increased to 35. This was reported by local ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan.
