Population in Armenia decreased

For the first time since 1991, the resident population of Armenia fell below 3 million people. This indicator was established as a result of the October 2022 census.
Compared to the results of the last census in 2011, the population decreased by 90,000. Over a year more than 100,000 people have come from Russia for permanent residence in Armenia. The UN predicts that Armenia’s population will decline to 2.6 million by 2050.
