People lined up to vote in the Russian presidential election in Armenia
From early morning, a large line of people wishing to vote in the Russian presidential elections lined up outside the Russian Embassy in Yerevan. According to the Russian consulate, there are almost 4,600 Russian citizens in the capital of Armenia who are ready to fill out the ballot.
Security measures have been strengthened at the Russian Embassy. Armenian media report that this is an unprecedented phenomenon for the country; this has not been observed in previous years.
Presidential elections in the Russian Federation take place from March 15 to 17, and the inauguration will take place on May 7.
