Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from the Organization of Turkic States (OTG) member countries gathered in Baku for the Solidarity Forum, which is taking place from November 23 to 26. According to EDnews, over 500 civil society representatives from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Hungary, and Northern Cyprus are participating in the event.
In his address to the Forum participants, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev noted that the growing potential of the Turkic states and their rapidly strengthening position on the global stage necessitate setting more ambitious goals, increasing joint efforts, deepening cooperation in all areas, and creating flexible mechanisms for this. The head of state emphasized that this first-ever event of its kind is an important step in this direction.
