Abubakar Yangulbaev: in Chechnya, people are forcibly taken to the war with Ukraine for using alcohol and drugs

Chechen activist Abubakar Yangulbaev said that his fellow countrymen are being taken to war in Ukraine for drinking alcohol and drugs.

“This was reported to me by a person who is seeking asylum due to illegal persecution by Russian law enforcement agencies. He said that a middle-aged man was forcibly taken to war for using marijuana and his corpse was returned to his family three months later. As one of the Chechen police officers points out, “this is the verbal order of the head of Chechnya,” Yangulbaev shared.

Last year, Yangulbaev’s mother, Zarema Musaeva, was sentenced to five years in a penal colony on charges of fraud and use of force against a government official. In March of this year, the prison term was reduced by 3 months.

Let us remind you that on January 20, 2022, police officers from Chechnya came to Nizhny Novgorod and took Zarema Musaeva away. After being taken to Grozny, the woman was accused of using violence against a police officer. According to investigators, she scratched his face.
