Three non-working days have been declared in Chechnya to celebrate Eid al-Fitr

Three additional days off – March 19, 20, and 21 – will be granted to residents of the Chechen Republic to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The decision was made based on an appeal from the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Chechnya.

These days off will give believers the opportunity to fully devote themselves to the holiday: performing traditional prayers, visiting relatives, and participating in other rituals.

In 2026, Eid al-Fitr will begin on the first day of the new moon, after sunset on March 19.
