Teenager detained in Chechnya for allegedly tearing up portrait of Akhmat Kadyrov

The Chechen opposition movement NIYSO reported the detention of a teenager in Grozny who allegedly tore up a portrait of Akhmat Kadyrov. The information has not yet been confirmed.

According to the Telegram channel, the incident occurred in the village of Staraya Sunzha, where, according to eyewitnesses, a large gathering of security forces was observed after the damaged portrait was discovered. The teenager, whose name has not been disclosed, was soon detained.

The information published by NIYSO about repressions, abductions and torture in the republic, as a rule, remains uncommented by the Chechen authorities.
