Authorities in Dagestan have banned the online publication of photographs and information about certain objects and events, citing security concerns. The ban includes images of bridges, air defense systems, the aftermath of drone attacks, as well as information about the type, launch location, crash site, and flight path of drones. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of the republic, Sergey Melikov.

The Supreme Court of Dagestan sentenced Makhachkala residents Yuliana Aliyeva and Maryam Chunkova to one year of probation. They were found guilty of brewing coffee over the Eternal Flame under the article on insulting the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland.
According to the case materials, in June 2023, Aliyeva and Chunkova brewed coffee at the Liberator Soldier monument in the Lenin Komsomol Park in Makhachkala.
“The defendants testified in court that they realized their guilt in committing the crime and, as rehabilitation for their behavior, laid flowers in front of the Liberator Soldier monument, met with veterans, and visited an orphanage,” the court’s press service reported.
