During the annual "Year in Review" press conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin, responding to a question about support for young families, noted the tradition of early marriages in the North Caucasus. He said he believed this was "right" and suggested "following their example," citing Ramzan Kadyrov's large family.
In Dagestan, a man was fined for criticizing the Russian army
The Kizilyurt District Court of Dagestan sentenced Magomedbeg Magomedov to a fine of 30 thousand rubles, finding him guilty of “discrediting the army.”
The man posted a video and audio recording on VKontakte with a negative assessment of the Russian military. Published materials speak of the murder of civilians in Ukraine.
As mitigating circumstances, the judge took into account the admission of guilt, the presence of Magomedov’s two young children, and the fact that this was his first time being brought to administrative responsibility.
In addition, in the case of discrediting the Russian Army, the Akhtynsky District Court of Dagestan received materials from the police against Nezirkhan Azizkhanov. A review date has not yet been set.
