A meeting of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee was held in Moscow, dedicated to countering the spread of terrorist ideology, neo-Nazism, and religious extremism in the North Caucasus Federal District.

A project for a Spiritual Center, where the tallest mosque in Russia will be built, was presented in Derbent. Its height will be 88 m, the administration of the head of Dagestan reported.
The spiritual center includes a complex of buildings - a mosque, a temple and a synagogue, which will be united by a single park space. The construction will be financed by Senator from Dagestan Suleiman Kerimov.
"It is very important that we see here not only an Orthodox church, a synagogue and a mosque, but also elements that link these objects with the history of Dagestan and the ancient city of Derbent," the head of the region Sergey Melikov noted during the presentation.
To date, the tallest mosque in the Russian Federation is located in the Chechen city of Shali. Its height is 63 m.
