A National Guard member suspected of killing two men was detained in Dagestan

In Kizilyurt, a 54-year-old police major from the MOVO battalion, a private security guard of the Russian Guard, was detained. He is suspected of shooting a father and son on the Caucasus federal highway in the summer of 2006.

In addition, the defendant is charged with attempted murder. At that time, he worked as an inspector of the OVO service of the Kizilyurt Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The arrest took place at his place of service (he serves in the OVO company guarding the Miatlinskaya hydroelectric power station). A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Art. 105 and part 1 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
