Three Dagestan residents detained as members of an extremist organization
Three men have been detained in Dagestan. Security officials claim that they are involved in organizing and participating in a cell of an international extremist organization.
 
According to the investigation, from 2018 to 2023, the suspects in the extremist organization conducted anti-Russian propaganda among residents of the North Caucasus and tried to recruit new members.
 
In addition to Dagestan, detentions were also carried out in St. Petersburg. A lot of banned religious literature was confiscated from the defendants. A criminal case was opened against them on the grounds of a crime under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of the activities of an extremist organization).
