Georgia and Azerbaijan are striving to simplify border crossings: the parties plan to introduce a single-window system at joint border crossings.

The European Union will close the door to Georgia if the country's authorities continue their policy. This was stated by the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell.
“The road to the EU is open for the peoples of Georgia. However, if the government continues to do what it is doing, this road will be closed... Today, the EU countries are not making any concrete decisions, we are talking about a discussion on the situation and on possible measures,” said the EU’s chief diplomat before the start of a meeting of foreign ministers on the issue Georgia.
Borrell also did not rule out limiting financial support to Georgia and high-level contacts, emphasizing that the measures “should not affect the population.”
Let us remind you that the European Union is dissatisfied with the law “On Transparency of Foreign Influence” adopted in Georgia (on foreign agents). The document provides for registration for NGOs and media that receive more than 20% of their income from a foreign state. They will use special “tags” - an inscription stating that their activities are funded by foreign institutions. In the United States, after Georgia adopted this law, visa restrictions were introduced in relation to a number of high-ranking politicians of the ruling Georgian Dream party.
