In the cities of Dagestan, after the detention of migrants, they stopped collecting garbage

In Makhachkala, problems arose with cleaning and garbage disposal. This happened after the police detained many migrants from the Central Asian republics. As a result, employees of the city hall came out to clean up.

Many migrants worked for the regional waste removal operator. In particular, the police detained all citizens of Tajikistan who worked at the Makhachkala-1 municipal unitary enterprise on garbage trucks. Waste is also accumulating in Buinaksk and Dagestanskiye Ogni.

It is reported that some immigrants from Central Asia may have left Dagestan themselves. This was a consequence of the detention in Makhachkala and Kaspiysk of several of their fellow countrymen who were suspected of terrorism.
