In Georgia, an opposition Azerbaijani journalist was placed in a prison medical institution
Due to the sharp deterioration in the health status of the Azerbaijani journalist Afghan Sadyvov, the Azerbaijani journalist was transferred to a prison medical institution.

“Both governments committed criminal acts against families of journalists and set up everything. It is important for our society to show unanimous solidarity with Afghan Sadygov. What is happening with this honest journalist and his family is inhumanly, ”said Tamta Mikeladze, head of the Center for Social Justice.

The founder and editor -in -chief of the opposition Azerbaijani Canal Azel TV Afghan Sadygov was arrested in Tbilisi on August 3 on the basis of the Interpol's attacked wanted list at the request of the Azerbaijani authorities. In May 2020, he was sentenced in Azerbaijan to seven years on charges of extortion.

Human rights activists called a criminal case to a factory. Sadygov was pardoned in May 2023, but, continuing to face threats from the authorities, left his homeland.
