Ingushetia has declared three days off in honor of Eid al-Fitr

In honor of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, March 19, 20, and 21 have been declared days off in Ingushetia. According to the head of the republic, Makhmud-Ali Klimatov, this decision was made to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, which began on February 17.

Security measures will be stepped up during the celebration, and the republic's government has promised to ensure the stable operation of vital services, including electricity, gas, water, and communications services.

Eid al-Fitr, or the Feast of the Breaking of the Fast, symbolizes the end of the Ramadan fast—a period of not only physical abstinence but also spiritual self-improvement and purification of thoughts and actions.
