Major General Vladimir Kotov, previously deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Voronezh Region, has been appointed Minister of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia. The ceremony to introduce the new head of the department was held in Magas.

In Ingushetia, the FSB and the prosecutor's office brought charges of corruption against the head of the republic's property manager. The official provided incomplete and inaccurate information about his family's income and property.
"In particular, the official concealed information about his wife's ownership of real estate, about open bank accounts in his name and the name of his wife, and also did not provide information about the real estate that he actually used. In order to conceal his real property status and avoid declaring sources of income, real estate and vehicles were registered to relatives," the prosecutor's office said.
Law enforcement agencies established that the value of the high-ranking official's property significantly exceeds his income and the income of his relatives, after which they demanded that the head of Ingushetia, Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov, dismiss him.
The statement did not name the person, but the Ingush government website lists Ruslan Tambiev as the head of the republic's affairs manager, a position he has held since 2020. Tambiev is a retired colonel and former military man who began working in the republic after Kalimatov's appointment.
