In Ingushetia, three police officers have been charged with the group beating of a man

Three police officers detained for the brutal beating of a driver in Nazran have been charged with abuse of power with the use of violence by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (Part 3, Article 286 of the Russian Criminal Code). This was reported by the republic's Investigative Committee.

The detainees face up to 10 years in prison. All three are being held in a pretrial detention facility.

The incident occurred in January. According to investigators, the police officers beat the 28-year-old driver twice, despite the lack of legal grounds for the use of force and detention. During and after transporting him to the police station, the victim was repeatedly struck on various parts of his body. As a result of the beating, the driver was hospitalized with a ruptured kidney.
