A 16-year-old boy has been detained in Kabardino-Balkaria on suspicion of plotting a terrorist attack against law enforcement officers.
According to investigators, in October 2025, the teenager contacted the leaders of an international terrorist organization, whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation, and became a member. Under the guidance of his handler, he allegedly planned to commit a terrorist attack in Nalchik, targeting police officers. He intended to use weapons and an improvised explosive device to carry out his plan.
A criminal case has been opened against the boy on charges of participating in a terrorist organization and preparing a terrorist attack. He has been remanded in custody pending the investigation.
