In Kabardino-Balkaria, a court sentenced Zamir Begiyev to five years in prison. He was found guilty of leaving his military unit without leave during mobilization.

The serviceman admitted his guilt. In sentencing, the court took into account the defendant's remorse and his awareness of the illegality of his actions.
Previously, the Nalchik Garrison Military Court has repeatedly sentenced contract soldiers and mobilized personnel to prison terms. Specifically, Algiz Valitov received two years in prison, and Timur Yandiev and Amerkhan Kurskiyev received five years. Arsen Baev and Murat Khapov were sentenced to seven and five years in prison, respectively.
