In the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, rescuers evacuated a climber with altitude sickness

A 29-year-old man was climbing Elbrus as part of a registered group of 12 people. However, at an altitude of over 5,000 meters, he felt unwell and asked rescuers for help.
Six employees of the Elbrus high-mountain search and rescue team quickly lowered the climber to the Azau glade and handed him over to doctors.
Earlier, a 32-year-old Indian with symptoms of altitude sickness was evacuated from a similar height. The condition develops due to a lack of oxygen in high-altitude conditions and is accompanied by headache, nausea, loss of appetite, coughing, vomiting, or loss of consciousness.
