In the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, veterans of the SVO (Soldiers' Military Forces) are teaching schoolchildren military training

In Kabardino-Balkaria, basic military training has been organized for high school students and technical college students. Officially, the events are being held under the name "military-patriotic training."

According to information provided by the republic's Ministry of Youth Affairs, over 5,000 participants are expected, primarily in a format integrated into the school curriculum. However, over 1,000 schoolchildren and students are already undergoing training at permanent camps located in Nalchik and the Tersky District.

Authorities emphasize that the classes are conducted by veterans of the SVO (Soldiers' Military Forces). The stated goal of the training is to instill "courage and patriotism," introduce "theoretical aspects of military affairs," and acquire basic knowledge of UAV operation, emergency response, and first aid.

Previously, students at higher education institutions in Russia and the North Caucasus reported pressure to recruit them to sign contracts with the Ministry of Defense. They were offered service in "unmanned systems units."

Human rights activists point to the lack of legal basis for such contracts and view the situation as a veiled mobilization.
