In the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, a serviceman was sentenced to five years

A court in Nalchik sentenced Aslan Kushkhov to five years in prison for leaving his unit without leave during mobilization.

According to the case file, Kushkhov failed to report for duty on May 21, 2025, without a valid reason. On July 12, he voluntarily reported to the military prosecutor's office of the Nalchik garrison. He spent the entire time at his own discretion, staying at his place of residence.

At the court hearing, Kushkhov fully admitted his guilt. He was sentenced to five years in a general regime penal colony.

The Nalchik Garrison Military Court has previously sentenced contract soldiers and mobilized personnel to prison terms on numerous occasions. Specifically, Algiz Valitov received two years in prison, and Timur Yandiev and Amerkhan Kurskiyev received five years. Arsen Baev and Murat Khapov were sentenced to seven and five years in prison, respectively.
