In Kabardino-Balkaria, a serviceman was sentenced to five years for leaving his military unit

Azamat Maryshev was sentenced by the Nalchik Military Court to five years in a general regime penal colony for leaving his unit without leave during mobilization.

According to the investigation, the serviceman failed to report for duty at his military unit in Ingushetia on July 21, 2025, without good reason. His absence lasted until September 19 of that year, during which time he remained at his place of residence.

Upon returning to his unit, Maryshev fully admitted his guilt. He was sentenced to five years in a general regime penal colony.
