Portraits of SVO participants defaced in Makhachkala

Portraits of participants in the war in Ukraine, exhibited on Peter I Avenue in Makhachkala, were defaced. This was reported by the mayor of Makhachkala, Dzhambulat Salavov, calling the incident "an act of vandalism."

"This act is not just hooliganism, but a deep insult not only to the soldiers who gave their lives, but also to their families, all residents of the city," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Small lines were drawn on the photograph, presumably with a marker or pen. City authorities plan to replace the damaged photographs in the near future, and law enforcement agencies have begun an investigation into the incident.
