The Second Western District Military Court sentenced Ingush natives Ramazan Padiyev and Batukhan Tochiyev to 18 and 22 years in a maximum-security penal colony. According to Kommersant, they were found guilty of complicity in the terrorist attack that resulted in the deaths of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, the head of Russia's Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Defense (RCBD) forces, and his adjutant, Ilya Polikarpov.
In Makhachkala, residents again took to the streets due to lack of electricity
Residents of Makhachkala began to block roads almost daily due to the chronic lack of electricity in their homes.
The chairman of the government of Dagestan, Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, reacted to the protest. In connection with the blocking of the street of Peter I Avenue, the first deputy minister of energy and tariffs of the region, Dinislam Imanmurzaev, and the management of the Makhachkala Gorelektroseti were sent to the place to meet with citizens.
The Ministry of Energy was instructed to submit proposals for solving the problem of energy supply in this section of the street.
