In Moscow, the nephew of a senator from Chechnya could have been detained with weapons and released

On Borovskoe Highway in Moscow, the police stopped a Mercedes-Benz in which 27-year-old Isa Geremeev, the nephew of Suleiman Geremeev, a member of the Federation Council from Chechnya, was located. When inspecting the car, they found seven pistols, four machine guns and ammunition without registration documents. This was reported by Novaya Gazeta Europe.

According to the VChK-OGPU telegram channel, Geremeev Jr. was not detained after “a call from influential relatives.” Previously, he managed to serve in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Chechnya - as an assistant to his uncle, State Duma deputy, Kadyrov’s right hand, Adam Delimkhanov.

The father of the detainee is Ramzan Kadyrov’s assistant Vakha Geremeev. In 2022, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, he was awarded the medal “For Courage”.

The TASS agency, citing police sources, reported a different version: allegedly the weapon found in the car “was registered in accordance with the law.”
