Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Yerevan is interested in restoring full-fledged dialogue between Georgia and its Western partners—both the European Union and the United States. According to him, this position is the official line of the Armenian authorities.
Activists in Moscow have installed a memorial plaque for the 21st time in honor of Anna Politkovskaya, who was murdered in 2006. The plaque, which reads, "Anna Politkovskaya lived in this house and was vilely murdered on October 7, 2006," has previously been destroyed by unknown assailants. Activists intend to continue restoring it until it remains in place forever.
A plaque commemorating the vandalism had previously appeared near the house where the murder occurred: "Here, in 2026, neo-Nazis destroyed a memorial plaque to Anna Politkovskaya."
Anna Politkovskaya, a columnist for Novaya Gazeta, is known for her criticism of the Russian authorities and her coverage of human rights violations in Chechnya. Although the perpetrators of her murder were convicted, those who ordered the crime remain unknown.
