A criminal case has been opened against a native of Dagestan under a terrorist article

A criminal case has been opened in Ingushetia against a native of the city of Izberbash in the Republic of Dagestan, Akhmedkhanova Burliyat Sharaputdinovna. The woman will be tried under Article 205.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activity).

According to the investigation, the suspect has been voluntarily participating in the activities of the Islamic State, an international terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation, while staying in Syria since November 2014. It has been established that she underwent training for this purpose in one of the militant training camps in the area of ​​the republic's capital.

Earlier, criminal cases were opened against Akhmedkhanova under Part 2 of Article 208 and Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. However, the wanted person did not stop her illegal activity and did not turn herself in to law enforcement agencies.

The suspect has been remanded in custody (in absentia). The investigation and operational search work are ongoing.
