The republics of the North Caucasus warned about ice and avalanche danger

The Ministry of Emergency Situations warned of heavy snowfalls and ice in the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District. Due to avalanche danger, the Elbrus resort in the Kabardino-Balkaria region suspended its activities. There is also a danger of snow masses falling from the mountains of Dagestan and North Ossetia.

In Chechnya, Ingushetia, North Ossetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia and the Stavropol region, an abundance of wet snow is predicted. Residents of a number of regions complained about unclean roads, in particular in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic.

In Dagestan, electricity was cut off for more than 107 thousand consumers. 60% of the supply has been restored.
