The Rostov Region was among the areas targeted by Ukrainian drones on the night of November 8. According to a morning update from the Russian Ministry of Defense, Russian air defense forces intercepted or destroyed a total of 142 drones overnight across nine regions, occupied Crimea, and the waters of two seas.
Yury Slyusar, the governor of the Rostov Region, provided an update on the aftermath of the drone raid via his Telegram channel.
"As a result of the aerial attack and the impact of drone debris at the 97th kilometer of the R-280 highway in the Neklinovsky District, the road surface of a bridge across the Mius River was damaged. Construction equipment—specifically two crawler cranes—was also damaged."
He noted that there were no casualties.
"Traffic across the bridge is now operating in an alternating, single-lane (reverssive) mode," the regional governor added.
Ukrainian sources point out that this crossing is situated on a key transport route that could potentially be used to supply Russian forces.
Occupation authorities in Crimea have not reported any consequences from the attack there.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian side stated that, overnight into Sunday, three Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles were fired toward the country from the Sea of Azov, alongside 164 attack drones—including Shahed-type UAVs (112 of which were jet-powered), Gerbera drones, and Parodiya-type decoy drones. Ukrainian forces managed to shoot down or neutralize 137 of these drones. Among the launch points for the UAVs were, once again, Millerovo (Rostov Oblast), Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Krasnodar Krai), and Gvardeyskoye (Crimea).
