The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has published a report alleging that Georgian authorities used chemical weapons during the suppression of pro-European protests in Tbilisi in 2024. The chemical weapon in question is bromobenzyl cyanide, a chemical warfare agent dating back to World War I, also known as "kamit."
A Ukrainian drone was shot down in North Ossetia
An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) was shot down by air defense systems in North Ossetia over the village of Alkhanchurt. This was announced by the head of the republic, Sergei Menyailo, who recalled the ban on disseminating unofficial information about UAVs.
It was also reported that temporary air travel restrictions were imposed in Chechnya, Ingushetia, and North Ossetia today due to security concerns. Airports in these regions temporarily suspended all flights.
