Russia does not intend to comply with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruling requiring Georgian citizens to pay over 250 million euros, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated. When asked about the possibility of improving Russian-Georgian relations if the payment were made, Peskov noted that the Kremlin views this issue as a separate matter.

Immediately after the transfer of the co-chairman of the Memorial Center, political prisoner Oleg Orlov, to the Moscow pre-trial detention center-5 “Vodnik”, he was offered to sign a contract to participate in a “special military operation”. This was reported by the Memorial Human Rights Protection Center.
Oleg Orlov laughed in response to the proposal. He explained that he turns 71 this year. In addition, he was sentenced for his anti-war position and protest against the war in Ukraine. They answered that they were not embarrassed by his age and political views.
Let us recall that on February 27, the Golovinsky Court of Moscow sentenced Oleg Orlov to 2.5 years in prison under the article on “repeated discrediting” of the army. The human rights activist was tried for an anti-war article in which he called the Putin regime fascist.
